Notaries provide Notarisation, Legalisation and Apostille services. Notaries witness documents such as a Power of Attorney. MyNotary Preston can provide certified copies of General Register documents (GRO) – these are official records for all births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships, stillbirths, and adoptions registered in England and Wales since July 1837. Other documents frequently seen by the Notary include educational qualifications.
What is required?
The role of a Notary Public is to verify that you are who you say you are. To do this, I need to see an up-to-date identification document. Usually this would be a Passport or driving licence. I also need proof of address such as a utility bill dated within the last three months.
This information will enable me to be satisfied of your identity and to attest that you have appeared before me and signed a document in front of me.
Notarial services
I provide a full range of notarial services for both individuals and companies in Preston, Blackpool, Lytham, St. Annes, Rural Flyde, Blackburn, Burnley, Bolton and throughout Lancashire.
The most frequent documents needing to be notarised on behalf of private individuals may be:
- A Power of Attorney relating to selling a time-share in Spain or buying a holiday home in France. ( a French language speaker available).
- Certified copies: if you apply for an overseas bank account or go to live or work in a foreign country, you may be asked to provide documents that are certified as true copies of the original.
- For example; I frequently am asked to take a copy of your passport and certifying that it is a true copy of the original.
